Welcome to our facilities preview. The building we occupy here in Tamarac, FL, is an older structure built in the 1960s. It started its life as a tennis and racquet ball club. In the 70s and 80s it housed an upscale continental/oriental restaurant. After that establishment closed in the late 80s it stood empty for a while until it was bought by the Police Benevolent Officers Association.

We bought these premises from them in early 2000 with a horrendous mortgage, which was a tremendous struggle to pay every month, but we have done it. The facilities, as we bought them consisted of a 15,000 square feet clubhouse plus a couple of auxiliary buildings sitting on 6 1/2 acres of land.

Earlier this year, 2006, we sold off the back half of the property for more money than we paid for all of it six years ago. This allowed us to pay off our mortgage, phew what a relief, and to put money in the bank to boot. Now, hopefully, we can begin to spend a little bit of spare change to give this aging but beloved facility a much needed facelift.
