Lauderdale Lakes Moose Scholarship Program

Your Lodge is proud to announce the creation of the Lauderdale Lakes Moose Scholarship Fund. This fund has been created to help the youth of our Fraternity to offer them the opportunity to further their education. The children are our future.

The following requirements must be met to be eligible to receive a Lauderdale Lakes Moose Scholarship:

• Be a member of the High School Class of 2008.

• Have a parent or grandparent who is a member in good standing of the Lauderdale
  Lakes Moose Lodge #2267 or The Women of the Moose Chapter #1699.

• -or- live in the household, and be under the legal guardianship of a member in good
  standing.

• Have a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale

• Be a resident of the North Broward Area (Coconut Creek, Coral Springs, Lauderdale Lakes, Margate, Sunrise, or Tamarac.

All applications must be returned to Lauderdale Lakes Moose Lodge at 6191 Rock Island Road, Tamarac, FL 33319 no later than August 30, 2007.

All qualified applicants will be placed in a random drawing to be held in the fall of 2007 at the Lodge.

Winners will be notified by mail. Their scholarship check will be mailed directly to the college of their choice after enrollment in college or junior college.

Your Lodge is planning a number of fund raising events around the Lodge to support this Scholarship Program. These events may include but not necessarily be limited to events such as:

• Golf tournaments

• One or two 50/50 drawings per month

• The monthly back yard barbecue

• Bake Sales

• Bi-monthly car wash

• Garage sale

• Collection jars in the Social Quarters. Please contribute your spare change

• Donated raffle prizes

• Monthly Breakfast

• Member/non-member donations

As a Moose member, please sponsor our fundraiser to support this worthwhile undertaking by your Lodge.

If you wish to make a donation to the Lauderdale Lakes Moose Scholarship Fund in your name or the name of a loved one, please bring or mail a Program Donor Form along with your contribution to the Lodge Office.
